The Directors of Heritage Picture framing services are Daniel & Jane Bosworth.

We have been involved with collecting and framing works of art since 1986

I, Daniel Bosworth, from a very early age was always interested in carpentry and joinery and in 1961 at the age of nine I started my carpentry career. During my school years I spent my time off from school at Henry Jacksons, Blacksmiths shop in Parson Drove, Cambridgeshire.

Henry Jackson owned a Blacksmiths shop, carpentry and decoration business with Mick Boston who was a carpenter and sign writer.

It was only when I had my own business (ABC Carpentry & Joinery) and looking back in retrospect, that I realised that working with natural materials, having an eye for detail and conserving and restoring like for like led me into another field - the field of historical buildings for English Heritage.

Two of the most memorable milestones in my career was as Project Manager at Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, six Robert Adams houses for National Trust Headquarters for Scotland (opened by Her Majesty the Queen) and St Ethelburga’s Church, Bishopsgate, London.

This involved the Bishop of London, Winston Churchill’s Grandson, Sir Evelyn de Rothschild and Terry Waite.  Fine detailed plasterwork, painting and stonework restoration was carried out to the highest and finest specification. Upon completion the building was opened by HRH Prince Charles who I had the privilege of meeting on site. The following are details of other wonderful projects I have either worked on or project managed:

The British Library – carpenter
The Criterion Theatre – carpenter
